In any event, I sincerely hope that area residents will take the census seriously and make sure that everyone is counted. Population figures affect our lives in many ways, especially impacting the amount of government funding that our area receives from a variety of government programs, including education. More people = more money. Lord knows that we pay more than our fair share of taxes; the census is one way to ensure that we get our money's worth when the government doles out money for these types of programs.

I really hope people don't take their anger on government issues out on these poor Census workers. Economy the way it is now is what put the people from YOUR community out of work and begging for the 12.00hr from the Census. One Census worker was killed last year and hung from a tree with anti govt' words carved into his chest! I'm afraid video's like this will only cause more violence. If I don't want to answer the questions I will polietly tell them how many live in my home and that I'm not comfortable answering any more questions. If I want to vent I will go to: http://2010.census.gov/2010census/
and show my concern there, not on retired "Mr. Smith" who is working to supplement his income since loosing his retirement!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the reminder that we live in a country with a constitution. Too often we allow "Big Brother" to infringe on our personal rights and freedoms, to include our right to privacy. I will gladly comply with the need to tell how many our in my home 16 years of age or above, the rest is none of the government's business.

Sheesh... The IRS already has all that information about you. GPS coordinates can be found on google maps. Quit trying to scare the elderly again, NRVNews!

Most census takers are people from your community who either just want to help, or just need a job. They are NOT government employees coming to steal your soul! Please don't be a cranky old fart like this guy and don't be a jerk.
