    Glenn Randall (Randy) Fields, 38, of Rich Creek, Va., passed away early Sunday morning, November 11, 2007 in Seminole, Okla. due to a tractor-trailor accident.

    Randy was born June 26, 1969 in Pearisburg, Va. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty G. Ferguson and his father, Glen Duncan. He was a graduate of Narrows High School, class of 1987. Randy was a skilled welder and made a living at it until getting into the truck driving business, which he did for 13 years. He was also a proud member of the Rich Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

    He is survived by his stepfather and best friend, William H. Ferguson of Rich Creek, Va., with whom he made his home. He is also survived by his stepmother, Freda Duncan of Narrows, Va. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, his "Baby Girl," Carlaina Maegan (Carly) Fields of Pearisburg, Va., whom he loved and cherished very much. Randy also leaves behind many brothers and sisters, who were all his best friends, three sisters; Debbie Dill and husband, David, Tracey Haney and husband, Bob, all of Norman, Okla. and Robin Weyer and husband, Dave, of Narrows, Va.; five brothers, David R. Fields of Pearisburg, Va., Mike Fields and wife, Debbie, of Romeoville, Ill., Gary Fields and wife, Michele, of Pearisburg, Va., Timmy Fields and wife, Angela, of Narrows, Va. and Jason Ferguson of Rich Creek, Va. He also leaves behind several stepbrothers and stepsisters, Donna Mabry and husband, Mike, of Narrows, Va., Christina Spangler and wife, B.J., of Pembroke, Va. and Richard Duncan of Narrows, Va.; and many nieces and nephews whom he was very close to. Randy also leaves behind a very special friend, Angel Kinzer Hale and her children, Lauren, Natasha, Sheena and Joseph.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Riverview Baptist Church, with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, W.Va. and one hour prior to the service.

    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to assist the family with burial expenses. Donations will be accepted at any NBB (National Bank of Blacksburg) location in the account of "Randy Fields Memorial Fund."
